President Donald Trump has declared that the US is ending its binds with the World Health Organization, WHO, and will suspend all subsidizing to the association.
The US President made the declaration during a question and answer session at the White House Rose Garden on Friday May 29. He said his choice comes after WHO ”neglected to make the mentioned and extraordinarily required changes”. He blamed the WHO authorities for helping China lie and cover the reality of the ”Wuhan infection”.
He says all funds will now be redirected to other global public health needs.
”Because they have failed to make the requested and greatly needed reforms, we will be today terminating our relationship with the World Health Organization and redirecting those funds to other worldwide and deserving urgent global public health needs. The Woeld needs answers from China on the virus” he said
Speaking further, he said
China has total control over the World Health Organization despite only paying $40 million per year compared to what the United States has been paying, which is approximately $450 million a year,”
