Mr Adesina Ogunlana, a #EndSARS legal advisor has expressed that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu should show up before the Judicial Panel of Inquiry testing the shooting which happened at Lekki tollbooth on October 20.
Describing how the Commander of 81 Military Intelligence Brigade, Victoria Island, Lagos, Brigadier General Ahmed Taiwo affirmed that officers were conveyed after Governor Sanwo-Olu connected with them, Ogunlana expressed that it will be significant for the lead representative to show up before the board, especially to exhibit his pronounced confidence in the standard of law.
At the point when inquired as to whether the presence of the governor was essential to the situation of his client and whether he would push for the lead representative’s appearance before the board, Ogunlana told Punch
“Of course, that is taken. That person (Sanwo-Olu) will have to come; he’s a factor and he will come. He says he believes in the rule of law, his Attorney General, Mr Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), has come to appear before that panel to just make a short speech and to affirm that the Lagos State Government is indeed committed to unraveling the truth about what happened at Lekki on that day; and the military has mentioned him, so, he is a factor.”
