Motorist plying the Adigbe-Opako route are being faced with a devastating experience as this raining season seems to cause more harm than good especially to those seeking their daily bread through transit business in the region.
The heavy downpour which started in the early hours of today (12th July, 2019) didn’t seem to take a halt as it continued even till late hours of the day.
According to reports, the road was already in a bad shape before the downpour, however today’s downpour made it worst and the road is on the verge of dividing.
An affected victim of this sad occurrence is a filling station owner situated just right opposite the road.
Speaking exclusively to Leak Secret correspondent, a motorist identified as Toheeb said
this road has been bad for over a month and the government packed their construction vehicle there without doing anything positive thereby endangering the lives of innocent citizens, now the road is threatening to divide.
Another passenger identified as Esther also poured out her grief. In her words:
This route is very dangerous to use at night as any slight mistake might lead to loss of life. She further stated that, cabs and tricycle owners now refuse to ply that axis and those who even wish to go increase their fare.
Other people gave their own tale of experiences and call on the appropriate authority to take swift actions before it’s too late.
