The Oyo State Command of the National Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), have captured a couple who supposedly tied their 10-year-old little girl Abibat, to a roof, copying her private part for taking the whole of N3,000.
The dad of the young lady, Taofeek Olawale 41, an indigene of Ede, Osun State, said he was just attempting to panic her with the fire as discouragement when the fire engulfed her private part.
Marching the suspect and his wife, Romoke, on Monday in Ibadan, the commandant of the (NSCDC), Isikilu Akinsanya told journalists that the arrest was a piece of the duty of the Anti-human Trafficking and Child Protection Unit of the NSCDC to spare and secure the lives and property of Nigerians, as cherished in the 2003 Act, corrected 2007.
The Commandant, who was spoken to at the question and answer session by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluwole Olusegun, claimed that Olawale, a craftsman living in the Amuloko region of Ibadan and his better half tormented their little girl, Abibat, by binds the young lady’s hand to the roof and putting shoot under her until she admitted to the allegation of taking N3,000 having a place with a neighbor, Rukayat Trimisiyu.
He further said that in the quest for the cash, the entirety of N600 was found in Abibat’s pack, and the young lady later brought the remaining N2,400 from where it was covered up in the house.
The NSCDC manager said Abibat was all the while recouping in the medical clinic from harm she experienced the copies her dad delivered on her.
Olawale told journalist he was just endeavoring to unnerve his little girl and show her a few ethics.
“It is the devil that is at work,” he said.
Romoke separated herself from the attack, saying she separated from Olawale seven years back and was elsewhere when she caught wind of the episode.
