The Oxford English Dictionary has been refreshed to incorporate some Nigerian words and articulations.
In the Oxford English Dictionary’s January update, 29 Nigerian words were included and it was reported in a blog entry on the lexicon’s site.
In the post, the Oxford English Dictionary clarified that a portion of the words were acquired while others are coinages
“Most of these new options are either borrowings from Nigerian dialects, or novel Nigerian coinages that have just started to be utilized in English in the second 50% of the twentieth century, for the most part during the 1970s and 1980s,” the post included.
