Chief Magistrate Court in Uganda today December 15, dropped the charges against quick rising Nigerian artists, Omah Lay and Tems.
The artists were captured on Sunday, December 13, and accused of doing “acts that are probably going to cause the spread of irresistible sickness, Covid-19” following the illicit show at Ddungu resort in Munyonyo with huge groups while the nation is on lockdown.
They were charged under the watchful eye of the Makindye division court on Monday, December 14 and remanded in various jails till Wednesday, December 16.
Following the clamor from Nigerians and some strategic moves made by the Nigerian government, the charges against them have now been dropped.
